Every year I see the kites in the air and the crowds walking down to Edwards Lake Park but we’ve always been busy with something else on the day. This year I’m saving the date for the Darebin Community & Kite Festival, it looks like so much fun for the kids!
Edwards Lake Park is such a great location with a wonderful playground, plenty of space to run around and lots of green grass to have a picnic on. This years event has a range of performances, workshops, community stalls, food, drinks, a pet expo, storytelling corner and of course the main event – kite flying! There’s lots on offer for the whole family and if you don’t have a kite you can make one on the day, awesome!
Fingers crossed for a beautiful day, gather your friends and family, pack a picnic rug or two and check out the festival. What a wonderful community event!
