This park is situated right at the end of Gilbert Road where you can turn onto Edwardes Street. In fact it’s often overlooked, as the larger and more impressive Edwardes Lake Park is just across the road, however it means this park is mostly very quiet and the kids have all the equipment to themselves!
The updated metal play structures are fairly standard and include a smaller section for the little kids and a much larger one for the older kids. There are slides, climbing bars, large threaded beads, a chain bridge, monkey bars and a flying fox. Nearby are also two swings and what appear to be chin up bars on the tan bark.
There’s a couple of park benches, but no drinking fountains or toilets. Although there is a 7/11 just a short distance away and public toilets at the larger park across the road. Next door to the play equipment is an oval where local footy and cricket it played on the weekends, plus I spotted some brand new cricket nets when I drove past recently. There’s definitely a lot of grass for the kids to run around or kick a ball in and plenty of large trees for shade.
