When the cold weather sets in and it’s too wet to visit the park then Latitude in Heidelberg has got you covered for all your indoor play needs. It’s a fantastic and huge indoor space filled with a variety of activities to get you climbing, bouncing and flying through the air!

For the older kids the main feature here is the 100+ interconnected trampolines, a state of the art climbing zone which includes rock climbing walls, two bouldering walls, a dual Perspex climbing wall and the famous Latitude pink stepping poles – which are only for the brave! Just looking at them made me nervous! There’s also a dodgeball and basketball arena with trampoline floors allowing kids to jump like Jordan and slam dunk like a pro!

For the younger kids aged 18 months – 5 years, there’s the awesome Kids Zone. This area is separate from the main floor and gated to keep the little ones in. There’s three sections, the first is a large playground equipment area which has slides, tunnels, ball pits, an obstacle course, ride-ons and a soft floor. Up a short set of stairs there’s the mini trampoline park which consists of trampolines joined together with padded mats and running up a wall. Finally next to this is a foam pit with mini rock walls for the adventurous climber. This is such a fun area and you’ll see parents jumping in and joining their kids on the trampolines and in the foam pit!

There’s food and drinks available at the cafe upstairs which also has tables and chairs overlooking the whole park, plus there’s a few tables in the Kids Zone. My tip is to order your food and then bring your buzzer down with you, so you don’t waste valuable playing time sitting around waiting for your order. It gets really busy on the weekends and public holidays, especially when it’s raining, so either come early or later in the day or be prepared for madness and chaos! Sessions can be booked online to avoid the queues and you’ll also need a pair of Latitude socks which can be purchased for $2. During the week you don’t need to book to visit the Kids Zone and you can stay as long as you like, it’s a great way to spend a morning or afternoon!
